The price of the rural houses falls for the sixth year

Rural tourism is booming and the offer of rural houses is increasing every day. Outside the traditional tourist offer, where hotels concentrate the largest number of places, there are more and more houses, farmhouses or haciendas equipped for family holidays. The rural houses adjust their prices so that everyone can enjoy their dream holidays.

Holidays are no longer the exclusive property of the big hotel chains. More and more families or small businesses are renting out their properties, either by the room or the entire house.

The increase in demand for rural houses, competition in supply and the economic crisis has caused prices to adjust the last 6 years. In the first quarter of 2015 prices fell by 1.1% compared to 2014. Being the Balearic Islands where the price has fallen the most with a 10.8% adjustment.

The average price of this type of accommodation per person per night in Spain is 25.8 euros, being Murcia the community with the cheapest rural houses with a cost of 20.7 euros and the Balearic Islands the most expensive with 60.6 euros according to the Toprural portal.

In the Valencian Community and the Canary Islands, communities where Naranjas al Día has its fruit farms and offers its rural houses for this type of tourism, the average prices are 26.6 euros and 26.9 euros respectively.
