First day of sale of mandarins in Naranjas al Día

Finally the long awaited day has arrived. Today officially begins a new season of Naranjas al Día with the shipment of the first boxes of mandarins. The sale of mandarins has started with better foot than ever beating the record of kilos sent on the first day reaching 765 kg.

In boxes of 5, 10, 15 and 30 kilos we have sent the first mandarins of the season. The mandarins that we have right now respond to the Marisol variety, being the earliest fruit of Naranjas al día. It has arrived with the first drops in temperatures of autumn. Just after the double holiday, regional (October 9) and national (October 12) we have chosen this Tuesday and 13 to make the first shipments.

There are two types of boxes to choose from in these early days. Mandarins, where we make the best selection of mandarins from our fields, with the best colour, the best size, the perfect texture and flavours; and boxes of unselected mandarins, which contain the same fruit from the same trees but, as the name suggests, without making any kind of selection. Directly from the tree, we put all the fruit in a box and send it to your home by express courier.

The Basque Country is the country that consumes the most mandarins

The bulk of the shipments we have made today are directed to the Basque Country. For each of the three provinces (we would like to say that for all cities) we have prepared shipments with different boxes of mandarins. The sale of mandarins has always worked very well in this region but today has been special the reaction they have had to our first day of sale of mandarins.

So, tomorrow, the residents of Bilbao, San Sebastian and Vitoria and smaller towns such as Lasarte, Irun and Lezama in the Basque Country will be able to enjoy a fruit with a high nutrient and vitamin C content.

Not only our friends from the Basque Country know the great benefits of the mandarin. Madrid, Barcelona, Palencia, Logroño and towns such as Anchuelo, Cala and Ruidera mean that our mandarins go from sleeping on the tree to being tasted 24 hours later in any corner of Spain.

Thank you all for your trust in Naranjas al Día!!!
