Rains prevent the shipment of mandarins

This Monday morning has dawned with rain in all our fields of Naranjas al Día. This fact makes it impossible that today we can serve all orders placed since last Thursday afternoon.

Our commitment to send our oranges and tangerines freshly picked from our fields means that if one morning it rains with considerable force we cannot send the boxes requested.

Rain not only complicates the harvest itself. Rainfall in Valencia is not usually constant but for a few minutes heavy amounts of water fall. During some of these moments of "rest" we could get to work and harvest the fruit but we would encounter another problem: humidity.

Oranges and mandarins cannot be harvested when they are soaked. If we collect them and place them in the different boxes just after it rains, this humidity would cause many pieces to rot during the journey, spoiling the whole order.

We hope that these rains will stop during the day and tomorrow we will be able to prepare all the orders we have pending. The different meteorological indicators that we usually consult daily are not at all flattering as they predict water until tomorrow afternoon but they also said that it was not going to rain this morning.

We will be aware of the weather and will be ready to prepare as soon as we can all the orders placed with the best mandarin from our fields.

Reiterate our apologies for the inconvenience caused and thank you for the patience and understanding of all those who have consulted us.
