Naranjas al Día has suffered a computer attack

Since last night evening until a few minutes ago Naranjas al Día has been suffering a computer attack that has left out of service all our computer systems. Both the web and this blog of Naranjas al Día have been affected for about 12 hours.

It has been a DDOS attack (Distributed Denial of Service) . From what we have been able to understand, between what we read in the link and what the IT team explains, it is a computer attack in which a series of computers, through robots, send information to our server making it overloaded and unable to continue processing the information.

This computer attack, it seems, is quite common, and has been suffered by many companies throughout the existence of the Internet. A notable example of this type of attack occurred on 27 March 2013, when an attack by one company on another flooded the network with spam, causing widespread internet slowdowns and even affecting key locations such as London's central node.

And we thought we were special for receiving a computer attack!!!!

This computer attack has only affected the proper functioning of the server so that, once overcome, everything is working properly again. No data, nor any order has been affected. Tomorrow, everyone will receive their order and those of you who have tried to place your order during the hours of the attack can see that you are placing them as we write these lines.

As you have been able to see during these hours, if the website is not working, you can contact us by email at info@naranjasaldia.es, through the social networks, twitter, facebook and Google+ and, of course, by calling us on 900 333 330.

If you are "NOT" reading this, it is because we have suffered another computer attack 🙂
